I see the compressor is a denso. Did the Mana system normally have a denso compressor?

I have a 94 also. I checked, it's identical to his compressor.

The mystery continues.

I have four or so r12a denso compressors that were highly likely used with denso r12a systems. But no matter, it does not mean denso was not used with mana.

The USDM parts manual seems to indicate the compressors were the same part number for the mana and early denso systems.

The manual also indicates a part number change after vin number 210640.

The Japan parts manual only lists one compressor part number.

USDM

Up to VIN 210640 : FD05-61-450
After VIN 210640 : Fd05-61-450A

JDM
All models 1992-2002: fd15-61-450A

My guess the switch to r134a was at VIN 210640 (so late in the 1993 model year)..

But this may require further investigation.
