Missing ‘one tab’ history

Story I got was….condenser was gonna be used on another vehicle, due to location of that tab….it was ‘removed’.
A universal condenser was successfully used for that project….saving this ‘unobtainable’ part to live another day….Hummmmm, that sounds like a wise move!

How do you know it is Denso and not a Mana ? They are not interchangeable.

I wonder if the condensor might be interchangeable.

Also we are learning up here that there is a version of the coolant that could be used in both r12 and r132a.

But I don't think Mana systems were put on Canadian cars (however Denso r12 were common).

1994 USDM were also Denso, no?

Only way I know to confirm Denso vs Mana for any A/C fitting is to measure the male thread diameter (easy to do).
For the condenser, small line:
Mana = 14 mm (14 mm x1.5 )
Denso = 14.3 mm (9/16 "x18)
The problem is the threads are different....Mana is metric , Denso is AN and NOT interchangeable
Here's the Mana vs Denso chart I use.

Very useful thanks. The fittings for Denso r12 and r134a systems are different at the compressor and dryer bottle. Have not checked at the condenser yet.
