Description:

Up for sale is a new, unused, custom Nissan CD009 6-spd transmission adapter kit that was put together by forum member “Careless” in this thread:

https://www.rx7club.com/rotary-car-p...z-13b-1090772/

This particular kit is intended specifically for the FD chassis.  The paperwork also states 20B, but having looked through all the very detailed documentation I can’t see and difference between using either a 13B or 20B.

It does not require an automatic rear iron plate like the Collins kit, but is compatible with one by using the manual trans starter.  There was an FC version of the kit for using the FC starter.  This kit may not be for you, or you’re on your own if purchased for any chassis other than the FD3S.

If you’re unfamiliar with the kit I’d highly recommend reading the linked thread thoroughly.  This is a very professional and highly detailed product offering.  However, it is only providing the mating of the transmission to the engine and the hydraulic clutch system basics.  You will have to source the PPF delete mounts etc.  Those details are all in the linked thread.

As far as I know there is no intention of ever offering this kit again.  I had recently purchased it from another forum member that is the original buyer, but have decided to go in a different direction.  Everything is new and unused in the original packaging, only some of the boxes have been opened for inspection.

The one exception is that upon receipt by me the original installation manual was found to be missing.  However, a copy of the original high definition PDF file of the installation manual has been secured from the source and will be provided in a digital/electronic format.

I’m only looking to recover what I will have in it at the conclusion of making a sale.

Therefore, the price is $2,680.00 + actual shipping cost.  It will only be shipped insured at full purchase price with a signature delivery requirement.

That said, I’m just about to leave on a 4 - 5 day road trip to pickup another car out of state and trailer it back.  Please be patient if you don’t receive an immediate response to pm’s or replies here.  I’ll be alone on the trip making as many hours as I can manage in a day.  It will be a long, tiring trip.

Everybody will eventually receive a response as best as I can get to them.

While I do still have this for sale, I’m just as happy to move forward and use it as not. However, my intention would be to put it in an RX8. This particular kit comes with some FD3 specific parts though and it seems like it could be put to better use on that chassis. Not any more interested in taking a hit on it than trying to get any more out of it than I have in it. There isn’t any plan to reproduce the kit.

So apparently I had a misunderstanding about this kit from having not understood the instruction manual clearly (a lack of reading comprehension on my part) that forum member Careless straightened me out on; there is only one kit that covers both FC and FD models.

thought I had a buyer lined up, but payment not received yet; so still for sale.

however, if this isn’t sold soon then I’m just moving forward with using it myself.
