Got a new turbo BW SXE S369 to upgrade my old BW 3666...Strap the car down for a few pulls and tune for 500 whp... My tuner Dave from Dtech Motorsport on the keyboard.
Here are the results: we made a little over 500 whp @ 20 psi but forgot to take a picture....Here is one at 18 psi 467 whp. We still on the factory diff with 14 Mikey's Thomson drag radials. The car will spin the tires till red line on the street :)...

Great results. Congrats.
How much difference in power and responce was there between the s366 vs s369 ?

Remember both turbo use the same exhaust wheel and same back housing... To tell you the truth you can even tell on the road the difference.. Maybe 200 rpm..
I will overlay the S366 dyno with the S369 and post back... With the semi peripheral engine and the twins gate divided exhaust manifold the turbo spool really fast... I like this combo a lot.....

Power wise, I need to hit this turbo at high psi to really tell the difference between the two... But for reference we made 327 whp at 9 psi of boost with on a rich afr 10.5 on the S369... With a leaner afr maybe we could get 350 whp at the same boost level 9 psi..

It took the S366 12 psi in my car to make 347 whp with a 12.0 afr... Same engine..... We have to take into account both turbocharged really shines after 20 psi +...

So far I really like my new turbo.... According to Hong (Mike turbo ) he thinks we can get 700/750 whp on a 13B engine with the S369 with the proper setup.... 700 whp is my goal with the less lag possible, I think I selected the correct turbocharged for my goals at a great price..

Forgot to post this from few weeks back.. Here is a log screen shot of the 3 widebands ... The 2 AFR that are log together are the ones pre turbo in the exhaust manifold and the one by its self is located in the down pipe about 3 feet away after the turbo....

Looks like your enjoying the Vipec. It's a big step up in features from the microtech.

Did you get a chance to overlay the dyno runs from both the turbos.

Drop by Rotary Werks and got the info.. Wow I never thought it was going to be this much difference between the two..turbocharged Technology has come a long way ..

Red line BW SXE 369 with .91 A/R
Black line BW s366 with .91 A/R
Both at 12 psi at my WG spring boost pressures ... boost controller off..
You can also see the BW SXE 369 AFR are pig rich .. This one was the first pull we did with the SXE 369..

Damn that's pretty impressive considering your spinning a bigger compressor wheel. That's real sweet. well done. Good choice. I'm watching with Interest how far you stretch the 69

WLD 07 09-25-15 08:01 AM

Nice.
I've always thought the large turbine wheel on the S366 could do with a bigger compressor wheel.

I wanted to post this for a long time...
Hard work pays off …. Thanks to Eric Gerardo Monzon Rotarywerks great engine built and my tuner David Heerdegen from Dtechmotorsport.
We have a very reliable (7 seconds 1/8 mile 10’s seconds 1/4 mile mile car) with stock OEM GSL-SE diff and stock OEM 14's inch rims with 205/50/14 drag radial….
The car is only running 18 psi of boost do to the stock diff..

Mission accomplished for stage 1..... More to come..... Having a 30 year old street car that gives you this type off excitement and at the same time is a beauty and fun to drive on the street is priceless.....

The ViPec and Dave tune has done a great job keeping this car in great shape on many 100 multiple 500 whp runs on the street ...

WLD 07 12-23-15 01:31 AM

Congrats man.

That's a quick car you've built and on 18psi it has plenty still left in it.

What's your plan with the diff

AXA 05-12-16 05:35 PM

The time has come for me to get a new ECU gentleman... The new member of the family is a brand new Vipec I88 :)..

The Vipec V88 has been great and will be up for sale soon... It will make someone very happy....

Hopefully will be playing with new feature like traction control and adjustable boost switch after install...

More to come after delivery of the new ECU ....

Jose

Still on the stock diff... I am really holding my self to do that mod in till i have no choice..
Maybe I can get the diff to survive a little longer on the track with the traction control.. fingers cross..

I really love how the car drives in the current state...... I am afraid after the diff change to the 8.8 the car rides will change for the worse on the street.
