went to the drag strip last night!

My first time at the track, it was awesome! I saw 2 rx-7's that raced each other, 1st generation. The one closest to me blew his tranny (i think) when he was going to launch, but the other rx-7 got a 15.XX seconds, cant remember that good.

All my friends wanted me to run my car, but something just didn't feel right and i didn't race.

Well, one of my friends in a 95 integra raced a 98 integra. My friend got beat by the 98 but no surprise since the 95 is an automatic....on the way home (3:00 am)
We were all going home and everyone (our car club) is following me in a straight line when slowly catch up to a integra on the highway....it ends up being the same one my friend lost to. Come up to a red light and i glance over with a smile, "Hey man, lets roll!" The looked over, didn't say anything, but when the light turned green he punched it...so i was like ****, he's going!

I dropped the clutch and by the time i got into 2nd gear i was side by side and started pulling on him strong! I beat him by about 4 cars until i put my flashers on and slowed back down.

Everyone in the club was happy i got revenge lol.

Later on that night a new guy that was with us (didn't really fit in with his new lincoln LS v-8) wanted to race from a 50 mph roll....i beat him by 2 car lengths!

Finally, I wanted to race a RSX Type-S (Max is his name, he's in the club) that i had lost to when my car was running like **** and my clutch was slipping...so went from a 40mph roll and we were dead even until he shifted into 3rd and i was still in 2nd. He pulled 1/2 car on me but when i shifted into 3rd I started realing him in, and i got up to his door and he suddenly slammed on the brakes. I did too when i saw him do it cuz i figured his radar detector picked something up......later i found out he did that on purpose as soon as he saw i was going to beat him...so he *****'d out lol.

I know i know, it was dumb of me not to race them at the track while i had a chance to, but then again, the highway was dead 3:30 in the morning so i took the risk of getting caught but it feels good i beat them....

Thought I'd share..and oh yea, here is a pic of the rx-7's that raced at the track....

yeah, it was awesome, especially since it was my first time at the track. I was planning on racing the rsx type-s, but after the 1st gen. rx-7 blew his tranny, i changed my mind lol. I got scared hahah....but the best time the rsx has pulled was a 14.6 quarter mile.

My car is defenately not running right.....

There is no way in hell an RSX-S will run a 14.6. I know 'coz i had a 2002 Type S with Comptech race header, Ingen short ram (with the heat shield), Magnaflow exhaust, and other crap, but i don't think it'd done 14.6 in 1/4. Which track did you go to?

Tayyab.

now the RSX-S w/ a GREAT driver is capable of 14.6 w/ bolt ons...but most drivers run low 15's to mid 15's in the car....but its not unhaeard of...just like a stock S5 T2 can pull low to mid 14s w/ a great driver
