Volkswagen 20th Anniversery edition vs lightly modded 87'TII
his mods: Stock
Mine: RB Turboback, FCD, HKS intake, Walbro Fuel pump
Well first time we got from a roll about 30 mph perhaps a lil more, i'm in second around 4k rpm, and on the third honk were off, i instantly start pulling and pulling but theres a car in my the light turns red!
Next theres a car infront of us so we do the same dance again but a little shorter same outcome.. but the third time was totally different we had the whole road to ourselfs. we start from a roll again i can't remember the exact speed but we go on the 3rd honk and once again instant pull and i just keep going i shut down after about 3-4 car lengths. I really thought he would have put up a better fight but oh well.. a win for the 7..

Yeah, those 1.8t's aren't that impressive in stock form.
I raced an '02 Jetta with an upgraded turbo on the stock intercooler (stock intercooler heat soaks the STOCK turbo rather quickly) when a friend of mine told me about his "Daily Driver Shootout" for his modded corvette buddies.
I was beating him until just about the end of the 1/8th track (this was all in good fun, no need to go to the 1/4th track) in a 90GXL, with just exhaust and a cone filter sucking up how engine bay air.
But throw a few more mods at that 1.8t and watch out.
