Nice vid! I had a chance to go against a C5 a while ago - I had a full exhaust, intake and boost controller - from a 35 roll I pulled on him by about a fender. What speed were you at when you shut down?

Ya, brake boosting helps a lot. I topped out 4th and let off but the second race i shifted to 5th and he gained a little ground back.

EXACTLY how is brake boosting performed? Similar to powerbraking an automatic?

while in gear, you hold the brake down while you're giving throttle to build boost..then when you let off the brake, you get that boost instantly..rather than off the throttle, then back on and wait for it to spool..

Hey guys, I had this big argument about gas mileage and the 7. I remember when I roamed around town in mine in DC, I would only get around 180 a tank. He was claiming 350 city driving in san diego. I never saw that kind of mileage out of city driving, 350 was more like highway to me. Was that bad for big city driving? I don't think my car was ever burning that rich. My vette stinks more than it and I get way better mileage in it. Maybe it was just my 7. |
