Single FD vs 448 rwhp Turbo Honda Hatch *vid*

I went out for some 1/8th mile racing yesterday with some friends this past weekend and ended up lining up with Nicole and her 448 rwhp Honda Hatch (verified about 30 mins after we raced on a mobile dyno). It was for the the first round of eliminations in the quickest class and even though there were only 3 people in the class, it was still fun. For those that haven't been 1/8th miles racing, the hole shot is much more important than the 1/4 mile. Even if you are the quicker car, you have to get out of the hole or else you just don't have the room to make up the distance.

We line up after the burnouts, she trees me by a bit with a reaction time of .041 to my .094, I pull a personal best 60' of 1.53 to her 1.78 and stayed ahead for the rest of the race. It also ended up being my best 1/8th mile ET and MPH as well. My previous best was a 7.08 on my only 10 second pass, so if this were a full 1/4 i'm pretty sure i would have knocked a couple tenths off on the big end.

Her hatch is very strong and would pull on most cars. I know a lot of you talk **** about Honda's, but this is one that would put a hurting on most of you, even the single guys.

Here is the video (ignore the dumbass commentator on the loud speaker):

Here is the full slip, me on the left and Nicole on the right:

The announcer sucked, but damn good race man. Both cars kick ***.

I can't get good enough traction to hit 6's with the C5. Spinning through the first 2 gears.

very nice. Your car looks very strong out of the hole. What tires are you running? I have never been able to pull more than a 1.7 short time. I have run MT ET streets, Nitto DR, BFG DR. I know its me!!! Also what amount of power (HP) for a 6.9 run?

ET streets. I made 512 rwhp, but i wasn't making that much at the track on sunday, probably somewhere in the high 400s.

Haha that announcer sucks, stfu their racing already. Also nice launch and run, good thing you won or else you'd probably have to remove your avatar.

Sweet run. Funny thing is I'm aiming to get about 500whp in my RX7 when I finish the build. Another thing that's funny is I have a 1994 Civic Hatch Si that's I'm going to turbo charge because it's very cheap and they make alot of power. Honda's can be screamers if the person building them up isn't a kiddie street racer.

Did she actually do a RWD conversion or am I just being nitpicky?
