I have never entered a race until recently when one of our trainees a 21yo with a Scion xA, with an AEM CAI, and TRD exhaust, w/5 speed challenged another person to a race on our territory. This is against the rules and where we practice has a terrible road condition and its pitch black at night. So to prevent the trainee from possible danger, I challenged him to a day time race on our 'course'. My car named "Megami", is a stockport 83, GS with the LSD and transmission from a 85 GSLSE, the engine has a FC1000 ignition, a custom made from texalian wing, a full custom Racing Beat/GReddy exhaust, and a few other things here and there. To make it more a battle of skill rather then power, I added 160lbs to my car's weight, and capped my top RPM to 6000, which is lower then where the engine power peaks with that particular exhaust. I also let him lead, I followed him and watched his movements until I saw he oversteered and braked too much during turns. On the last uphill before the finish line, a truck blocked his way, since he couldnt see what was coming bc of the hill, I drafted then engien braked to see if someone was coming, then passed him before he could get into my lane to block me. The race covered a curvy 8.6mile course in 7:32.47. Afterwards, I told him where he needed to improve and what he should modify next on his xA. It was an interesting experience for me as well, considering it was my first race. Tell me what you think! lol

I don't know, you're tough competition, but I still think that this girl is dumber than you.

BWhahahah this thread is awesome

wolf_9782 02-06-08 02:14 PM

lol engine brake? that reminds me of this idiot who owns a 3000GT, if he wasnt engine braking he was stomping the clutch to the floor and the gas pedal at the same time. his vehicle is now on jackstands perpetually i think, i dont exactly hang out with him. however i must lament over my friend, he has been letting this driver use his impreza WRX STi...

chutzpah 02-07-08 11:38 AM

Mini-me? :suspect:

Loose10AE 03-15-08 10:12 AM

Ok. Im not gonna lie...
I watch Tokyo Drift from time to time. And when its over... Ill admit I have a slight urge to go out and slid my car a bit...
But for fucks sake mang!!! I dont go out hunting Scions with a glowing blue FB....

You do:
Have an RX7
Make people giggle
Look like a fool

You dont:
Have a hot car
Have territory
DRAFT then engien brake

Or say this:
I am in on a team, so to speak, and we practice with our cars on a regular basis. We have an area we consider our "territory", where we practice. We even have trainees who are hopefuls to apply for the team Shinken (thats us lol). Without wanting people to flame your stupid ass.

neogum 03-15-08 01:10 PM

This thread OWNS. And it reminds me of my friend in high school.
He really waned to drift his car (240sx Auto on 19''s)
So this fool drives around the back of the school to the dirt track he had three other people in his car. Accelerates down the the little oval and hits the brakes... his wheels lock (summer tires) and he flies off the side of the track into a fence>!!!!

sonick117x 03-15-08 02:45 PM

Merlin, that was brilliant hahaha.
I can't stop laughing at some of these posts.
Glad you didnt let this thread die just yet!

1987tIIc 03-16-08 01:15 AM

So Merlin, Got any recruits for Team Benjos? LETS CHALLENGE TEAM SHINKEN!!! Viva Benjos! lol

motorcity muscle 03-16-08 03:15 AM

This is why I log onto other forums - for the sheer hilarity of it. Shinken stinken mods make blinken. Full of sound and fury, signifying nothing. Banjo sounds now, oops, sorry - Benjos....
Just good clean fun!
