Shinken 01: Scion xA VS RX-7 Series 2

I am in on a team, so to speak, and we practice with our cars on a regular basis. We have an area we consider our "territory", where we practice. We even have trainees who are hopefuls to apply for the team Shinken (thats us lol). I have never entered a race until recently when one of our trainees a 21yo with a Scion xA, with an AEM CAI, and TRD exhaust, w/5 speed challenged another person to a race on our territory. This is against the rules and where we practice has a terrible road condition and its pitch black at night. So to prevent the trainee from possible danger, I challenged him to a day time race on our 'course'. My car named "Megami", is a stockport 83, GS with the LSD and transmission from a 85 GSLSE, the engine has a FC1000 ignition, a custom made from texalian wing, a full custom Racing Beat/GReddy exhaust, and a few other things here and there. To make it more a battle of skill rather then power, I added 160lbs to my car's weight, and capped my top RPM to 6000, which is lower then where the engine power peaks with that particular exhaust. I also let him lead, I followed him and watched his movements until I saw he oversteered and braked too much during turns. On the last uphill before the finish line, a truck blocked his way, since he couldnt see what was coming bc of the hill, I drafted then engien braked to see if someone was coming, then passed him before he could get into my lane to block me. The race covered a curvy 8.6mile course in 7:32.47. Afterwards, I told him where he needed to improve and what he should modify next on his xA. It was an interesting experience for me as well, considering it was my first race. Tell me what you think! lol

Oh yeah, Westside Story. Are you the sharks or the jets?, where we practice. We even have trainees who are hopefuls to apply for the team Shinken (I like sharks better, you should think about changing it) (thats us lol) But what do you guys do? Is this a softball team, gymnastics team, what's the deal?. I have never entered a race until recently when one of our trainees a 21yo with a Scion xA, with an AEM CAI, and TRD exhaust, w/5 speed challenged another person to a race on our territory. How do you mark your territory so that other "teams" know? Do you guys go around pissing on fire hydrants or something? This is against the rules and where we practice has a terrible road condition and its pitch black at night. Sounds like a great place to practice. So to prevent the trainee from possible danger, I challenged him to a day time race on our 'course'. Must be cool having your own track, wish I had that. My car named "Megami" I tried googling what that means but didn't have much luck. Only came up with something like, "Big fish"., is a stockport 83, GS with the LSD and transmission from a 85 GSLSE, the engine has a FC1000 ignition, a custom made from texalian wing, a full custom Racing Beat/GReddy exhaust, and a few other things here and there. The Big Fish is sporting some power. To make it more a battle of skill rather then power, I added 160lbs to my car's weight, and capped my top RPM to 6000, which is lower then where the engine power peaks with that particular exhaust. The Big Fish is noble as well as powerful. I also let him lead The Big Fish is also cowardly., I followed him and watched his movements until I saw he oversteered and braked too much during turns. On the last uphill before the finish line, a truck blocked his way So you don't actually have a track, you're just racing out on a road somewhere? You just lost some cool points. No big deal, cause you've wracked up tons so far., since he couldnt see what was coming bc of the hill, I drafted then engien braked (ah, it's an underground nascar team, I see) to see if someone was coming, then passed him before he could get into my lane to block me. The race covered a curvy 8.6mile course in 7:32.47. Afterwards, I told him where he needed to improve (he should probably name his car something Japanese that is equally cool and descriptive, like Tetsuoakiraboxonwheels) and what he should modify next on his xA. It was an interesting experience for me as well, considering it was my first race. Tell me what you think! lol

That sounds awesome. Now I want to go and start my own team. I'll call it the "benjos", it's a cool Japanese word. Finding some territory shouldn't be too tough either, we'll have ALL the territory from one side of Wal-Mart to the other. Hmmm... but what about trainees? I'll have to find some kids with their mom's camry's or accords, that should fit the bill. Maybe make them chop off part of their finger like the Yakuza do. And as far as "courses" go, there's a really curvy neighborhood nearby, we'll have to race during the day though so that we can see where the kids left their toys in the road. That should make for some tight dorifto action. Kids playing in the street will make it even more difficult since it's harder to dorifto around a moving target. The mailman can make it around the neighborhood in 12:34:54, so I should be able to make it in at least a minute quicker.

Badass, I think I'm all set. As an experienced dorifto artist and current member of the sharks, do you have any tips for me?

FlavorDrops 08-13-07 01:18 PM

Don't hate. Those Autozone/Pepboys string lights give him 10 horses to the front wheels per ft of light.

Of the MF YEAR!!!

phoenix7 08-13-07 03:36 PM

I want to move up the ladder though. I have a total of 100hours invested in NFS: Carbon and I think I'm finally ready for the real thing. Merlin, can I join the Sharks?? I can drive to where you are and set up a race to see how I do against you and your whole team if you want! We can have a RACE WAR (JUST LIKE NFS!!!)

So far I have mastered drifting at over 100mph, and I'm so used to the FREEZE time feature in the game that I can almost do it in real life so My drifts. Just tell me what your requirement are and I'm looking forward to out race (whether it's in your territory or mine)

BTW where, in your RX7, did you install the RESET button in case we go off track?

I don't care, I don't need it, I just MUST join the SHARKS!

BTW It's a GREAT Idea to USE COOL BLUE LIGHTS in the engine bay to keep temps LOW!!! I was going to be retarded and use RED ones but I think that red means "HOT" right?? Man, I would have felt retarded if I had used red!

That must be your friend's pimp ass explorer!

Sorry, but this forum happens to have the dumbest fucking kill stories ever.

phoenix7 08-13-07 05:49 PM

Apparently SHINKEN means "seriousness"

:rlaugh: this thread just got a lot FUNNIER!!!!!! :rlaugh:

So, is the "Goddess of Seriousness" (shinken Megami  ) one of the last boss stages of your territory? like in Tokyo Highway battle on Dreamcast???

1RevvinFC3S 08-20-07 04:21 PM

Hey! Tokyo Highway was a pretty badass game, you have to admit.

But yeah, you should definately be the Sharks. Then you can all drive around in Hyundai Tiburons because "tiburon" translates to "shark".

Teqnyck 08-23-07 11:31 PM

UUHhhhhhhhhhhhhh..................

What the FUCK????????

Ok Takumi, there is a line drawn between Japanese cartoons and real life. You've somehow blurred that line, so I think for the good of humanity you should kill yourself. Thank you.

TehMonkay 08-23-07 11:56 PM

Ok, I have some suggestions

A) Lose the streetglow stuff, people who are really into motorsports, hate that crap, so unless YOU really like it, and dont care to impress anyone else, get rid of it.

B) Quit racing on the street, it's dangerous, straight line low traffic highway racing, is as far as i'd take it, beyond spirited driving.

C) Make sure your car is in good working order before anymore aftermarket crap is put on it

D) Start autocrossing, it's the way real people really race and get recognition. Unlike initial D, in the real world, people in formula D or anyone for that matter, doesn't go into the streets looking for someone driving a 24 year old rx-7 on the streets in traffic, no matter how good you are.

FRFC3S 08-24-07 12:32 AM

If you are the leader of some mad tyte team yo, why was this your first race? How can you feel you have enough experience to tell somebody else how they should drive if you have never compaired yourself to anybody before?

A. I call BS.
B. If it isn't BS, you're a huge ass to your "trainees."

Zhukov 08-24-07 02:31 AM

I feel bad for your mother.
