Yeah, champ--a civic that runs 11's is even more impressive than a sports car that runs 11's--a performance car at least has a bit of a head start to being fast.....at the end of the day, it is faster than anything YOU drive--no, wait, you dont even own a car anymore, do you? The state took it away....

It will air on wed's but I'm not sure when. It should be awhile though...
I am VERY impressed with Full-race's SOHC turbo. Breaking 11.2 on its first run is no joke. Its also on STOCK SLEEVES! They do also have a 800+whp DOHC civic which pegged the Dynapak they had. But they decided to bring out the SOHC out to have some fun. To me, it is def. not "just a civic", you should open your mind up a little more. They put a lot of work into that car. I know plently of civics that goes fast and saves gas. Mine for example, I have all motor built LS/Vtec rev'n to 8500 and I still get 240MPG on a ~9gal tank. Oh and its my daily beater doing 12's all day.
Great job to Full-race and for being so cool for just thinking "that was fun".
Great job to Speed Machines for building such a nice drag car. I wonder what they're going to do with the pinky now?

In fact, I'm considering modifying it... to get better gas mileage. That's what a civic is for. Modifying a civic for speed is like modifying your Lamborghini Diablo in the pursuit of fuel economy... it's just not the point, and while it is perhaps interesting as a technical exercise, it's utterly pointless in practice.

The season starts next month, but we don't know when it will air just yet. Once they tell me, I will post results. That pink civic has alot of cash worth of parts in it. Even though I own part of Speed Machine, we do other things than rotary. Rotary is what I do, but my partner Matt, who drove my car this weekend, has a Honda history. My mechanic John has owned an FC, FD, CRX, AE86, and now is the driver of our newly aquired pink (soon to be flat black rattle can) Civic. John ran the NHRA sportsman class FWD last year and placed 7th in the country, so we are going to build it for him to race, and us to advertise on. As for my car, that is the first time it has run in 2 years basically. I had never driven it with the current setup until we won, and Matt drove the Civic bck to our pit and I drove my car through 1 2 and 3rd down the track back to the pits. It is FAST so I am going to do some more stuff to it, and run it
Their civic was running 28PSI, an our car ran 12.7psi max, which they wanted to see after the race because they didn't believe me. The last race they had a 4 car head start, and we beat them by at least 5 cars according to our spotter at the finish line. They were also on 24.5" slicks, and we were on drag radials. We had a great time, and thanks to all the guys that were at the track who came over and showed support for the lone rotary!
This is the first import vs import, and the rotary took home the bacon...

It's not really how fast the car is on that show... A lot has to do with the negotiations or at least the episode I caught. They negotiate car lengths so if you got a slow car you negotiate for a large head start or handicap.

Wow... That's so cool. The Civic runs 11's? And you beat it THAT bad, with 4 cars, less than 1/2 the boost and worse tires.
The 7 can't lose... Seriously.
