A nice kill in my Grand National...

So it was saturday night temperature at around 75 degrees windows down listening to my big pun cd. Not a care in the world just me the 45 mph speed limit and clear roads ahead of me. I get the urge to step on it a little bit and speed it up to about 75 and then let it coast back down to 45. Seeing the red light up ahead I let the car coast down to a stop. Then the distant sound of a bumble bee. I think to myself "please dont let this ricer **** up my night". The light turns green before he get's to the light so I take off like a grandmother since im driving a buick . Then all of the sudden beeeeee beeee fly's past me and slam's on his brakes. He gets next to me and give's me one of those im too fast and furious for you looks. I look his way and laugh and go back to enjoying my music smoking my black & mild creme (which is the shiznit btw). He then drops it into second and start lurching his car forward over and over and over literally abusing the little 1.6 single cam in his ricer mobile. We then come to a light and are lines up together with not a car in sight. Just clear road ahead of us, he motions me to turn down my stereo so I do so just to see what he has to say. The conversation goes like this.

ME: wuss up
HIM:you wanna run that thing?
ME: no not really I dont race my car like that.
HIM: why you scared to lose?
ME: No I just dont like wasting my gas
HIM: bro I run 11 second all day(reminds anyone of someone? )
ME:HA ok buddy what you got done?
HIM: single cam with nitrous
ME: thats it? no supporting mods?
HIM:no just nitrous and I'll smoke that piece of **** buick
ME: Ok lets go then lets see 11 seconds buddy.

Then I see that the light turns green and he punches it barely squeeling any tires at all giving me more of a headache by the sound of the bumble bee. I mash on the throttle and real him in faster than fishing. First gear rolls around were neck and neck second gear hits I have him by 1 1/2 cars I wave out my window, and third gear comes and I shut it down around 4-5 cars ahead. He does the usualy ricer fly by and throws on his hazards thinking he won because I shut it down. So I let him be and laugh at him all the way back home. All and all not bad to see what the buick can do this is really the first time I opened her up. Now im itching to throw some slicks on it and take her to the track and see what I can pull in it

No wish it was hahha I believe it has GNX wheels on it. I just picked it up from my uncle 64 thousand miles all original just exhaust on it. I want another FD so I might be getting rid of it soon. Too many cars right now. The GN makes 5 so I gotta tone it down a little bit.

Nice car. I too remember the late 80's when GN's ruled the streets.

Beside the wheels, the easiest way to idendify the GNX was its fender flares.

Without much trouble they run low ten's and are one tough car. No better grocery car exist, fast dependable, cheap to repair and just good looking. And for the ricer let him have his fun its all he has. No class no car no brains and no woman! No woman wants a fast fly bye!!

Nice *** GN!!!

My brother's second car...

He was looking at this Buick Regal, covered in dirt and sitting for at least a year. My dad picks the thing up for $200 and brings it to my brother as a surprise. Pop the hood and lo' and behold- its a Regal T-Type!!!!! Thats like a GN in a different color, lol.

Yea Im not a big fan of american cars but I couldnt pass up the national. It was my uncle's and he sold it to me for 5 grand. Yea I know a steal but he didnt care he's moving back to puerto rico so I went to Florida and picked it up. It's mint nothing wrong with it, but im thinking about getting rid of it. I want another FD I miss mines more than any other car I've had. But I gotta get rid of the Grand National first before anything.

I always loved GN's. My speech class teacher in HS (Illinois) had two GN's. one tru Grand National and one Honest to god GNX!!!! He owned a local body shop as well, so he would get sweet cars for nothing and bring them back fully for nothing.

I remember the gym coach had a Typhoon and a Cyclone. Asked the speech teacher about buying the GNX. Mr. Green said, and I quote "Tell you what, if you give me the deed to your house and both of the GMC's, we have a deal."

My jaw dropped. THere is one on eBay right now for $79K, ambitious, but soon, well deserved.

Well, its a GNX, not just any Grand National!!!

You ever see a window sticker to a GNX? HP and Torque say "Not Available"

I always loved that.

GNX's are worth **** tons!!!!! You could probably get about $15,000-$25,000 out of your GN depending on demand. I usually see them for sale at about $17,000, at least thats the price I've seen on most of them.

I've seen a couple on ebay go for 26K but they usually have low 20k mileage. Mines has 64xxx original paint original everything except a sound system(my uncle does competition in systems). So he banged it out 3 15's in the trunk 2 amps, tweeters everywhere and a alpine head unit. Sounds fukin awesome but I think it will bring down the value if I try to sell it like that. I want a FD bad again but I cant have over 5 cars the city already giving me **** about the cars, but I might just get rid of my explorer just to keep the GN.
