My FD vs civic hatch

I havn't driven my FD in a while, but last week when I took it out for a sunday cruise because of the nice weather, I came across a worthy component. Supprisinly, it was a 93 ish Civic hatch. Dont get me wrong, I usually dont pick on Honda's but, when I was following behind him, I smelled race gas! It was a black hatch, nicely modded, with bronce wheels, lowered, and a very clean car overall. His exhaust was not loud, plus the small of race gas, I know I was up for a treat! I paced him for about 2 miles doing normal speed limit until this annoying cop got off the exit on the right, and then the hatch signaled and cut to my right and slowed down to match my speed. I looked over to make eye contact to the driver, and we did 3 honks and off we go from a 60 roll. I was in 3rd, did not brake boost, and he jumped 1/4 car on me off the start, and as I redlined @ 8K, I gained my ground and we were dead even. Shifted into 4th till about 7K, probably doing about 130+ and we shut it off due to traffice coming up on us. My PFC read .94 bar, and I got nothing on him. Neither of us pulled on one another, and we were dead even. I later saw the huge FMIC as I passed him and made my exit. It was a decent race afterall, and I am very supprised by the outcome. I am not sure if he has a motor swap, but definitly a fast hatch. I dynoed 350 rwhp on 14 psi pump running stock seq. twins.

yeah those EG civics can be really fast because they are super light. You would have pulled him from a stop. I have an FD and a EG so I know what both are capable of. Dont you hate wondering what mods he had.

...But does your Del Sol actually HAVE any Mugen or Spoon parts? Shift *****/stickers/strut bars don't count.

I have a built honda and let me tell you Ive beaten a lot of cars that always think there going to win. I took down a C6 vette not too long ago off a roll. You'd be surprised with the kind of power a honda can put down. My built h22 put down 630whp 28 pounds on C16 race gas. As soon as fuel lines go in boost will be 35 on race gas 9's or bust since I cant sell it.
