Jspec FC VS Single Turbo mr2

Went out for a cruise with a mate the other night and he introduces me to a guy he knows with an mr2, real rich kid he had just brought the car for 30k and it came with 90k worth of reciepts i asked him what sorta power he was running and he said it had 180rwkw when it was last tuned on 8psi and that it was now running 10 i asked him what torque it had and was told it was something stupid like 800nm because of the internal work. Was a really tidy car pretty much a full show car so i didnt doubt him too much, he said last time it went down the strip ran a 13.4 and was having traction problems. Anyway he ended up tagging along with us for a while and we were going down the highway so he comes up next to me and goes down a gear, i figure stuff it ill give him a run, was doing about 80 - 90km/h i went down to third and he stepped on it, now he wasn't getting any wheelspin or anything so i put my foot down and just pulled straight past him. We slowed down and he tried again, same result was pretty funny we pulled up at the next set of lights and he was yelling at me, i thought you said your car did a 13.5 which it did my cars making 225rwhp and 510nm, was a good kill left me feeling satisfied

Just found a conversion website im making 376.15670954019 foot pounds of torque, i think the main reason the hp is so low is because im only revving to 6500 as the stock fuel system cant keep up with the port work

Do you have a different measure for seconds over there as well??? 13.5 with that much invested (i know the Aussie dollar exchange rate) doesnt seem like he did much to the car at all if you ask me. I say if anything the best part of your kill is you proved how full of crap the MR2 owner was or atleast how stupid and gullible he is for buying that POS show queen.

+1

last I checked 90K AUS was close to $70-80K canadian.... and that will get you a used viper/new corvette/700hp FD with any mod you could ever think of, etc... I would be skeptical on that claim

but an FC beating a 250hp+ Mr2 is still a good kill

if you both ran a 13.5 or so, i can easily see you taking him down on the freeway. a lot of of a 1/4 mile time has to do with the first 60ft, or 20 meters for you and MR dueces can launch like a ****.

Congrats on the kill.

Well when mine ran a 13.5 it was a really really hot night, middle of summer car was noticably down on power. I think i may be able to get a 13.2 or so on a cold day. Well man, he had reciepts in the glove box, i didnt pay that much attention to him didnt really care that mcuh. I dunno what was going on with it, but yeah i saw him at maccas 2 days later and he said it had a boost leak, but he seems like a lil poser so i dunno what to think. I also got spanked by an r33 after that. Have never seen a car that fast it just lit the rear wheels up and left me like i was standing still from 100. Btw he brought the car for 30k was an ex show car for some car interior company. You say u can buy a second hand viper for that much, but try buy a brand new car and then do it up, the cost blows out like crazy. My fc owes me about 32k and i brought it with a fair few mods done.
