LS2 GTO's are quick as hell out of the box anyways, so I'm about 99.9% sure that you'll lose.

Thanks for all the info. I was still considering running with him and boosting to 15-16psi, but I no longer trust the owner of the GTO. Hes one of those people that doesn't know much about cars, and just goes out and buys whatever has the biggest engine. It took him forever to tell me that he had an exhaust/headers, and he will only race for cash, which leads me to believe he has had more done to the car.

You can tell that guy, I'll race him for cash. Only if he was more local to me.

GTOs are fat :)

Too many variables. How is your car running? I ran into a 6.0 badged one yesterday on the way to work and gave him a hard time from a 30 mph or so roll to about 80 (just got into 3rd gear) and let off. He had a running start on me too. I was about 1/2 car in front of him the whole time after were about head-to-head when I was got on it until I let off. He was not happy about that and did a wonderful ricer fly-bye Funny thing was, I wanted to run him again from a dead stop to see how that would go. He didn't even get next to me. I drove nice and slow to let him know I was waiting for him. But he just tailgated me for another mile, switched over a lane and then he peeled out making a right hand turn. What a phag. I think people with "fast" cars should learn some racer's ettiquite. People are such sore losers.

About the GTO, I'm not a fan of the styling, but man, that motor sounds like the devil when on the gas!! Just looking at the performance numbers, car is fast as ***** stock. And the other thing people are forgetting: the true power of the car is reflected in its trap speeds. The ET has a lot of variance depending on DRIVER (launch, shifting, etc.).

EDIT: omg, they ARE fat. try 900 lbs heavier than a stock FD! look under the "exerior and aero" features tab. 3700 lbs. what a pig.

Do you even know what you are talking about? When I dynoed my stock gto I put down 346whp and 339wtq. To the op try to race from a dig thats your best option, because the gtos pull on top end really hard. Especially with the mods he has.
