A friend of a friend with a gto wants to race me. I just finished putting a t04b turbo on my vert and its pushing around 13lbs of boost right now. 3in downpipe to 2.5 cat-back. 670primaries with 1600 secondaries. Running off of megasquirt. Who would win in this case?

gto does not have 225hp, lol. Try 400 at the crank, maybe 350 to the wheels.

Then the Honda guy lied to you. GTO's are fast. Like 13 second fast. Non turbo rotaries are 15 second cars. You're information is way off.

Got a little more info on the car. It has headers, removed cats, short shifter, and springs. He claims that the headers and cat removal did barely anything, but that just seems like a lie to me. It is the one with the ls2, 6.0l. The race would likely be from a roll(around 40-50mph starting).

 

With those mods he should be in the 12s at the track...from a roll though im not sure sure...he has massive top end over you cuz its gonna pull hard all the way through...im thinking your battleship is sunk my friend

a 6.0 gto with intake and a full exhaust like you say his has is an easy mid 12 second car on street tires.


dont know what kind of time to expect out of a 7 with your mods, but unless its deep in the 12's it wont be an easy race.
