I usually like to post my stories with vids but no camera was around. I go to the local Saturday night car meet to see what kind of cars are there. As I pull in, I can't believe my eyes! A Ford GT, no not a Mustang GT, but the super car Ford GT newer version of the infamous GT-40. It was so beautiful, black with silver racing stripes down the center. Wow, I've read about this car but never got to see it in person. So after bull shiting with friends for a while, we get the nod that some races are about to go down. We dip out, and I tag along with an 850rwhp Supra and about a dozen high hp domestics.

I decided to stay back and witness some of the coolest races to date. The Ford GT lined up with a Vette on a 300 shot of 2 stage nitrous (yes you read right), an 03 Cobra with some aftermarket blower and a bunch of other mods (he wouldn't say). They are off, the Ford GT falls back as the Vette begins to pull away and the Cobra right behind the it. Vette shuts down early as he bounces off the rev limiter (more on that later). From my view looked like the GT eventually caught the Cobra.

Next race, the GT lined up against the Supra. Supra gives the GT the hit and he immediately pulls about a car on the Supra. As soon as the Supra hits full boost he walks, I mean WALKS away fromt he GT like nothing. Supra wins, by A LOT!

So we pull over and bs for a while and head back to the spot. Now round two was a bout to start and I wanted to take part of the fun. I line up against a 150 shot Cobra vert that wanted to race me from a couple of weeks back. As I brake boost and count to 3 (my horn doesn't work), the Cobra falls asleep and doesn't take off as I do. I was getting ready to shut it down but I immediately noticed that the 300 shot Vette was at my bumper. Turned out he hit it right after I went. So we're off, and he's charging on me. We shut down after 120+ since he doesn't like to spray in over drive (auto tranny). The Vette wins, but by a half a car.

So, I guess I got these domestic's owners attention and I see this gray 03-04 Cobra line up next to me. He keeps reving and is hungry for a run. The car sounds MEAN as all hell, very loud, and I'm honestly worried about the outcome. We roll from about 70 mph. He takes the hit, I didn't even brake boost and as I finally hit full boost in 3rd gear, I reel him in! Top of 3rd I'm passing him, powershift it into 4th the Cobra is falling back even more. Shut down at the top of 4th, the Cobra was back about 1.5-2 cars.

I later find out mods to the Cobra, get this! Kenne Bell blower, all bolt ons, roll cage, drag radials, suspension and other stuff. Supossedly he did over 600rhwp, but I don't think he had them all Sat night. Later I walked up to the guy and say "Good race man", he just simply noded and didn't say a word. Completely the opposite of the Vette owner. The Vette guy actually complimented my car, and was impressed by it. I later found out it wasn't running to his full potential, but he swore it ran the same! Remember when I said he bounced off the rev limiter, on the spray I should add. This is what happened to 6 of his spark plugs.

 

I gotta retune my car and get some new numbers. From the cars I've been beating lately I have a gut feeling I'm making more then 374rwhp. It was nice and cold that night too, and I was creeping up to 17psi, all on pump gas!

wow, good kills man! my cousin's friend has a 02 cobra with that same supercharger, i saw his dyno paper and it said 560whp.

Are you sure that is an '02 Cobra? As far as I know, there was no '02 Cobra.

03/04 Cobras came with S/C from the factory.

 

Maybe he meant the Kenne Bell blower for his '01 Cobra? Just because it didn't come with a blower from the factory doesn't mean he can't buy a KB blower for it

Well, it would definitely be interesting. The guy is coming back in the next couple of weeks with his wife's, that's right wife's 750hp AWD Porsche. He wants a rematch against the Supra. Too bad he doesn't know the Supra was on pump gas that night. lol

 

Well, it's pretty obvious that one can add KB but the fact is there is no '02 Cobra. He could have meant 2001 or 2003/2004...who knows.

Just like what beckboarder said. That has to be the best kill story ive heard in a long while. & you tell it as if im there next to ya . and with all those powerful cars like the ford gt & cobra. I dont care what anyone thinks. A GT is a bargin(compared to the ferrari & lambo). WHere the hell were you at to see all these rides? sounds like a supercar meet!

 

That "supercar" meet is every Saturday here in Orlando. Not many exotics show up, but some fast domestics and imports do come. It used to be an exclusive spot for fast domestics before, but now accross the street we fill it up with fast imports. Come up one weekend and I'll show you around. You're gonna see some nice cars run.
