FD vs FB in Burnaby (Near Vancouver)

Okok I know an FD should always rape any FB. But my car's not boosting properly so I only intermittently have secondary boost and primary boost is sometimes flaky too. I'm guessing it's my TCA that needs to be fixed or replaced to fix the secondary. When the boost doesn't come on an FB vs FD race is fair game IMO.

Anyway, I'm cruising around at about 8:30pm and I spot this white FB going the other direction. So I turn around and follow him, he hangs a left on the highway and lets me pull up to him. While he's turning he mashes the gas and a couple fireballs pop out the tailpipe, cool.

We line up at about 35 or 40 and do a quick run up to about 60mph. I pulled on him by a few cars which surprised me since the FB is lighter and without much / any boost my car is like a pig.

We turn around, I have a brief chat with him roadside and we agree to a few more runs.

Lined up at around 45mph and ran to around 90, he actually pulled on me by about 2 cars. Man it sucks to have an FD with intermittent boost!!

We made a final run from about 45mph up to around 115mph. My boost finally came on and I pulled on him pretty hard, around 9 or 10 car lengths.

Anyway afterward we had a chat and I referred him to this forum, so maybe he'll show up in this thread or somewhere else. Apparently his FB was fairly stock except for a straight pipe exhaust. I'm certain his car would have kicked the *** of most hondas though. And the owner seemed like a nice guy. So hopefully he'll show up here!!

Sorry my kill isn't very exciting.

Oh yeah, I also raced an RSX a few times after he ricer flyby'd me. He was turbo'd and had a greddy type S or RS bov from the sound of it. Anyway first race we started at about 60mph and he killed me big time because boost didn't come on, it was terrible.

Second time we started again but slower because my boost seems to come on when I start from lower rpms. So we punch it at about 50mph and I see the boost god has granted me with .7bar (10psi) of pure unadultered boost through both 3rd and 4th. I pulled about 2 cars on him and I was gaining more and more by the time we hit about 120mph because my speedo doesn't go higher than that (JDM 180kph speedo). After that I went back to the speed limit and he went ricing off at a dangerous speed with lots of traffic around. Damn honda drivers.

Bet ya 20$ you wouldn't race to 90 on the roads we were doing it on. there's no decent freeway around here you would have to be suicidal to do more than that.

+1

We have really bad roads down here with lot's of twisties... which infact makes it fun in the FD but you can't open it up like in the states. Lots of pot holes... some food deep... can't really open up the car unless you're driving down to seattle or somewhere where they're not doing any construction...

Not to mention ICBC with their new rules... if you're caught street racing.. they will cursh your car at owners expense and if you're speeding... your insurance rate goes up anywhere from $300 to $900 per year...

They also inacted that law in ontario. 50KP/H over and they take your car for a week, suspend your licence for a week and something like minimum $10K-15K fine. Save the racing for the track. One day I'm sure I'll be goaded into a street race but until I'm proven a hypocrite I will preach the track.
