i read the first two pages and page 5. i didnt read the stuff inbetween. But i'm calling complete bullshit on this story.

first off, yes, it sounds like it came right out of an initial D novel. i mean, i've seen the initial D cartoons and i believe this was one of the episodes apex moments. the names of the cars have been changed to protect the innocent.

Secondly, he said he JUST got the car. if he really tried that **** and he hasnt done it in the rx-7 before, the DTSS bushings would of thrown him right into the cobalt. and i would be laughing.

thirdly, i bet this guy is just a loser with no real friends(atleast ones that want to hang out with him) so he comes online, makes up a cool sounding story, hoping he is going to get props. But he epic fails and ends up sounding like same fan boi fagmo.

To the OP: YOUR A ***

this is the 2nd thread i've read, although this is an old thread to begin w/, where some1 has a story, and gets flamed right off the bat.. seem's to me like this forum is nothing but flamers. =/

drifting is great, takes a lot of skill, and a lot of money to afford tires.. lol, im a drag person myself, but im not gonna bad mouth drifting, b/c like i said at the beg. of this paragraph, it takes skill.

I agree, i think the story is a lie, b/c the fact that he did say, "I just got the car", your not gonna get a brand new car and just start drifting it to perfection when u very first get it. Unless your a professional drifter and can drift any car you sit in.

But, u guys should calm the flaming down to a minimum, this site is starting to get a bad rep. I've already gotten my newb flames back in my first threads, thats why every1 gives me a hard time, but the fact is, i dont care, its the internet, i get on here to purchase parts, thats all. Not to look for advice or to have "online friends." lol.. this site is gonna crash b/c of all the shame people have brought into each and every one of these flame threads. Gives this site a bad name.

Wow! This thread contains so many references to homosexuality that i don't know what to think. or say. without getting kicked out of here.
Except, a Cobalt?!? As a Kill thread? C'mon, we can do better than that, right? Even a modded Cobalt SS is a joke....

drifting's respectable....in the track and not in the public roads. many people have diff opinions about drift, some hate it and compare it to san francisco some love it for its driving style. im on the fence about it myself altho i admit it does take some driving skill to do well with it. personally, im gonna stay away from that **** and stick to just hauling ***...

the problem is in north america, there is hardly any sanctioned events! The sport is so new here that we are doing what the japs did for 10 years before it got big there.

Just make sure you keep your pistons. You never know when you want to stop! And when you rebuild replace all six rotors!

But flaming is the only way we cant keep these kinds of stories to a minimum (besides being a serious and professional community with a wealth of information). Do we really want people to associate us with a new age "drifting ricer"? (Note drifting is an extremely difficult art that enjoy watching, but am disappointed to see every kid in a RWD car thinks he's in Tokyo drift/Initial D). I welcome any discouragement of BS
