Question 90fc-n/a vs 02saleen-n/a

so i find out my buddie just picked up a 2002 saleen. so he came down for the weekend from ny. and stops by sat night so i can check out the car. the car is a beauty. so we decied to crusie around. so we hit up rt287 nice highway to get some runs or whatever. so were side by side im thinking ill last a second then hell blow me away. cause rx7s have no torque. crusing at 80mph i drop it to 3rd he stayed in 4th. go wine out 3rd bam 4th look over neck and neck. wind out 4th bam 5th look over still neck and neck. shut it down at 125 130mph. both of us shocked. second run the same. third run he drops it to 3rd only for bout a second that time he put 2 1/2 cars on me but i was slowly catching up let off at 125-130ish had a car length between us. fourth run he stayed in 4th i droped to 3rd got a little jump he stayed by my mirror till we shut down. was fun and we were both shocked at the results.

ok here are bio's on both cars. i have racingbeat headers-silencer-apexi singlegt-spec. no 5th-6th ports.all emissions removed.msd ignition. lightweight flywheel. act clutch. solid mounts trans-motor-diff. shortthrow shifter. intake pipe. rollcage. full race suspension everything.

2002 saleen mustang- aftermarket magnaflow exhaust sys. and all mods that came with that package.

hp#s 2002saleen-est.- 300-320hp. he is gona do a dyno run to see exactly what hes pushing. weight is between 3300- 3500. not sure he is planing on getting exact numbers for weight. plus passanger say 160. driver 170.

1990rx7- with all mods 180ish not sure. rollcage bout 70-100 not sure havent weighd in the car yet with the cage. me 180. car 2700 lbs was average for my year 7.

both cars running 18inch rims.

so with the weight to weight ratio. vs power. i still dont know how i hung with him.
he was shifting between 6500rpm on all runs. me powershift love my rotary. the passanger was enjoying my 1 foot flames between shifts though.

Well, that Saleen should run high 13's/low 14's at least, so something is probably effed up. Maybe slipping clutch? Either way, cool runs.
