im pushing around ~150hp on a engine with 160k on it
-1982 corvette c3
-100% oem stock
he was pushing ~205hp on a engine with 130k
i kept getn the jump on the launch, off the line at the launch and get a good lead going but after 2nd gear he would start to reel only reason i could keep up with him was the fact his ride was around 3200lbs 3360lbs with driver. i knew i could hold him in the turns but straight line was suprised to hold him off but not by much from 0-100mph i won 2 out of 3 with a car length or less.... with this in mind and the stats i got of the net it was definitely a drivers race. here the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times for both stock. either way it was nice to beat a v8 american muscle at its own game with 1/4 less hp.on a side note the 82 corvette was one of the slower ones made but still i beat a 5.7ltr v8 with a 1.3ltr 13b!
car / 0-60 / 1/4 mile /
corvette 82 / 9.2sec / 16.6sec /
rx7 gxl 86 / 8.5sec / 16.5sec/
