I personally use the Ksport coilovers on my FD for the last year and have had no problems and use them for both daily driving, mountain roads and auto cross.



These are 36 way adjustable dampening and height adjustable by means of a lower mount. The key feature in this suspension is that the height adjustable lower mount allows you to change the height of the car without preloading the shock to do so. This is a big feature as lowering the car via spring perch will result in reduced suspension travel, quicker wear, bottoming out, and eventually a blown shock.

This is a track oriented kit and offers a stiff ride. If the road conditions are good enough these can used for daily driving as well although it will be a stiff ride. I also had these when I owned an 05 WRX, and I still have them on my 91 CRX.

what are the quality of these coilovers and the spring rate(for an FC)?

 

The coilovers are made in Taiwan. The price is very reasonable for the level of adjustability these offer. The FC default spring rates are 7kg F / 6kg R. Ksport allows custom spring rates up to 20kg and revalve the shock accordingly. Special orders also take more time and may cost more money as well.
