My first Mazda and my wife's (at the time fiance) were RX7's. Around here in Michigan in 1978 to get on a waiting list for the 79's required a deposit and you were going to pay a premium. So I started to call around the country to find a dealer that would not ask for more than list. (then vs than, still need to work on that) Chicago was a no, LA was a no but I found a dealer in Des Moine, Iowa. We ordered two a Silver and Blue RX7-GSs with manual transmissions. After about six months they came in and one weekend a few from Michigan to Iowa to pickup and drive back the first one. To be continued>>>>
