I first fell for 7's a couple years ago when a buddy was buying a 94 TT. We flew down to Jacksonville, FL to look at the car, took it for a test drive and that was it. Now I FINALLY have my own. Its a second gen, but still fun none the less. at least its a turbo haha.

In 1992- I found out RXs didn't have pistons so I started researching them. There was one (a '79) in my town- the only one I had ever seen; I saw her go through 3 engines and 2 owners before I bought 'er. She was totally trashed, but I rebuilt her in '94. I blew the engine in 2004 after more than 100K on a used engine, and she is sitting at my Dad's place. I am going to re-engine her- as soon as I decide how much power I want...

After I blew that 12A, I drove for 2 hours on the interstate. It took me an hour and a can of ether to get her started, but she made the trip! As soon as I cluched, she died, never to breath again. I love that engine!! I drive a '91 NA every day.

My first experience was with an 85 rx7 I bought at 19 and I loved that car! I blew the motor and was only making 4 bucks an hour couldn't afford a new one...... 15 years later and freshly divorced my mid-life chrysler is an 89 vert! And the love affair has just intesified since i placed my grubby lil' hands on it!

It was 22 or 23 yrs ago, when my cousin's husband pulled up to our drive way. He let me take it out, and I feel in love.

My friend had a bunch of 7's and i always used to joke on how he was always working on one...but after watching him for awhile i started to get interested. And learning more made me really want one.

Back in high school when my friend had the 1st gen with the loudest exhaust ever just captivated my senses from the carb smell to the vibration it gave while passing by. Just hearing the "hummmmm" was enough to get me interested even though I had no idea what a rotary was. Eventually he went to college and let it sit in the driveway no more zoom zoom . Before he sold it (I didn't have the money at the time), I got to take it for a spin and never forgot the feeling. Then Initial D entered my life and TII fc was the name of the game but again no money...
Finally, a good friend with an S2K motivated me to just go all the way and just "Do it I'm tired of hearing your crap". Now, 8 years later I'm a proud owner of a 1995 Mazda RX-7 and loving every moment of it.

I think I was around 9 or 10 when my neighbor woke me up with his 78 Corrolla with 12A rotary in it... It was LOUD!!!! I came over his house to see it and kinda got stuck to it from there.. I just loved the sound and I still feel the same at age 28

I fell in love with the rx7 when i saw a video on youtube. FC PA drifting. Bone stock gxl with cut springs drifting on the street in the rain. I was so used to 240's and corollas sliding around that i overlooked the FC. 2 years ago when i wanted a car, it was between the FC and an s-chassis. The s chassis was too expensive and it was hard to find an fc that wasn't a complete pile. After i got one this year and drove it that's when i think i fell in love.

I'm not going to lie. The time: 2001. The place: Movie Theatre. The age: 14. The car:

Haha. I progressively grew away from the whole F&F phase, and everyone I know grew out of it as well, but the love for Rx-7's remained. That was my introduction to Rexs and i've never looked back. (Not really, I've had and sold like 3 already, it's a little more complicated than happily ever after.)

I fell in love with the RX7 when i popped in the first Gran Turismo and started modding the 2nd and 3rd gen 7's. Then Initial D had them again and last thing that did it for me was there was one for sale near my best friends house. Well for me i happened to get for free the same exact RX-7 i wanted in High school (which was the same one near my friends house).

Initial D! That was a badass show. I stopped watching in Stage 4, not sure if they finished it or not but it was kick ***.

When I finally got it running smoothly and beat a porche on the highway w/o downshifting. It's also a lot of fun when i can roll up and beat everyone at initial d 4th stage with a blue fc and then leave in one.

For me it began with Gran Turismo when I was in college, in 98. I didn't know much about cars and didn't really care about them. My dream car was one thats reliable and required no maintanance. I told myself I would get a sentra or something when I needed a car in the future. Then I saw an FD in game and I was in love. It was what sparked my interest in cars. In the game, it was the only car I drove. I had all of the color and FD types in my garage.

I've seen maybe 2 in my life living in NY both of them from far. After half-seriously searching for one for about 2 - 3 years, I found a seller I could trust and we agreed he would drive the car from MD to NJ to get the car looked over by IRP. When I actually saw the car in person, it was better than I expected. Pictures just don't do the car justice and I find that they still never do. The car just has so much character and its so hard to convey its proportions in image or video and without a good point of reference to compare it to. Its low, wide stance, its diminiutive (sp?) proportions and its smooth lines, I dont know what it is but with the 7, you just can't capture how really exceptional it looks compared to other cars unless its sitting there in front of you, even when I see pics taken in the forum they just always fall short. As you can tell, I really liked the car and I was certainly sporting full wood at the time. That day, I just decided to buy it. Didn't even haggle over the price and I havent regretted since. Best mistake I have ever made. My family and friends keep telling me Im nuts and all I can say to them is... I know.

Im eternally greatful to both Charlie and Dan for introducing me to my FD. You guys did a great job fixing the car.
