What's up from SoCal!
Hey my name is Anthony Collado. I'm not a "gearhead" yet, but i'm working on it. I live in Chino Hills down in Southern California. I'm taking automotive classes at a community college to gain the knowledge while I get closer to my nursing courses. I'm only 18, but I turn 19 in May. Anyway I don't own an RX-7 yet but I've been dreaming about this car for the longest time. One of my family members is ready to give his 1991 RX-7 Convertible up which has 100,*** miles on the chassis, but he had told me he replaced the engine with the same model except it only had 10,000 miles in it. Good deal?
I was a mitsubishi person having my mirage and gallant, but the times up for those cars and I need to move on to bigger things(but affordable for an age of mine). I'm excited to work on this car, and I plan to use this forum as my reference for everything =D. Any tips about my specific model would help. Especially if you don't think I should bother with the car.
Thanks !

Don't bother with this car?? You're asking the wrong crowd, Anthony! If the engine's that fresh, you'd be nutz to pass it up! Soon, you'll have the know-how to take care of the rest of the car which is built like any other late model, so your classes will speak directly to that stuff. The rotary-specific things you need to know will be found right here on this website!
