VT what to do....what to do

hey there all

Just picked up a 85 GSL because it is rust free, drove onto the trailer and was cheap!!! Now I need a plan for it.........Do you think I should clean it up and drive it...tweek it up and street drive it or go for the V8 conversion???????? I like the autocrosses and the car shows........I also drive a FFR roadster, so I like the power and the show!! Looking forward to having a top and windows!!!

So many ?????. Just how tweekable is that 12a without turbo??

I'm sure you'll see me around the forum, glad to see it is here...and quite similiar to the FFRcobra forum!!!

Thanks.......Just looking for some thoughts

well i am a new user also. and as far your car goes a turbo upgrade is usully the first choice.nothing compares to a v8 but there are many things to consider.
1 handling
2 heat
3 reliability
4 cost
5 originality of the car you have now.
there is something about the sound of a wankle engine that a v8 can never replace, and youcan produce almost the same power and torque

Well i will say that one thing that i enjoy is that oh so familiar smell in the morning when i start up the ol' girl. Also one of the most unique exhaust notes.(Not that i can recognize mine with that large exhaust leak but hey she still has a ....... bark?)
What part of ol' VT you from?

With as light as the 1st gens are, seems like it doesn't take too much to get em quite fast with even the 12A. Good luck with the car. I have a FC w/ a 350 and the power is much fun, as well as the sound. Gotta love torque.
