Hi guys
I'm Tom, i reside in the UK. I like my RX7. I like to do all the work on it myself (who doesn't)
I've signed up to here for the wealth of information available, and look forward to dipping my hands into it...
My FD i have owned for just over a year. Bought in April 2011.
Had a slight issue occur last night though...
Aftyer getting it running last week, we had a few issues with leaks (3 oil leaks, 2 slight coolant leaks lol)
Heres a vid of the car running before we fixed the idle...
Unfortunately one of those oil leaks being from the turbo oil drain... which meant we couldnt continue that evening as i didnt have the bits to fix it...
Then arranged for Marco, my mapper, to pop over yesterday eve to map again and get a cruise mapped so we could drive it carefully to a dyno...
...and we got it running very sweetly. It sounded fantastic, the turbo spooled lovely and sounded great with its ported shroud!
...Then as we started mapping into very low boost (0.03 bar!) the car studdered and i threw a tip...
We think its either the secondary injectors weren't coming in on boost, or the ignition amp wasn't doing its job properly...
so ultimately...
