For those that wished never got rid of that RX-7

1987 GXL non turbo leather interior...Well, I didn't get rid of it. Drove it hard for 14 years then it has been sitting (dead) for over 16 years after it stopped running. Kept it just because I loved it so much when I was younger (even though the wife wanted it gone the garage space back) and now have 16 yr old Son with interest! We got it running with mostly gas tank and fuel system replacements. Still all original with over 165k miles and cleans up nicely with typical electrical switches problems and rusted sunroof. Now new coilovers, new wheels and tires and safe to drive again after passing Smog in CA. We will see what the boy wants to do with it!

Need suggestions for Cat back upgrade to exhaust system for middle of the road sound and performance please? 1 pic is circa 1990 and second pic is today.

Very cool that you had the garage space to keep it all these years. I just finished a father/son car project with my dad and hope to be able to do the same with my own son one day.

Father/Son car projects are the best, and it's really cool that you managed to hang on to it all these years!
