Tadaima!
I'm Wendell from Honolulu. I'm on my 7th RX-7 (5 Turbo II FCs and 2 FDs). My current RX-7 is a completely bone stock black/black R1 with 59,000 miles. Regardless of the low mileage, the car's not held up so well over the years, so I'm finally going to give the girl a makeover. I used to be fairly active here, but at some point in the past hundreds of my posts went missing and I stopped logging in out of frustration. There was no drama and I was never moderated. It was just a thing.
A few random threads have survived, including maybe half of my R-Magic 20B/T51R-Kai FC3S build thread from a little over 10 years ago. I assume it's still here because there wasn't Imgur back then, so I hosted my own pictures of the 19"x10.5" Volk Challenges with the 5.5" dish I bought, and according to my web host it's been seen about 11,000 times since 2001 so apparently someone's still looking. (With all this "stance" stuff nowadays, those rims look almost common but they were pretty shocking in 2001.)
Anyway, it appears I no longer have full access to the site? I think it's not just because I have less than 200 recognized posts now, but because I've never posted an introduction? So, 14 years later, here it is.
By the way, if you're from Honolulu and viewing this, I'm a project manager for a construction company now, in addition to going back to college for a graduate degree. I'm super busy, so while I'm back on the forums, I'm not back to rebuilding engines. In fact, I'd rather just pay someone else to work on MY car just so that I can sleep in. My, how times have changed.
