Hello guys and girls.My name is Vince and was born and raised in N.J but now live in Waycross Ga.In my early 20s i was the proud owner of a 1980 Mazda RX7 and a 1979 GSL_Se clone.I mean by clone it had the 4 wheel disk and posi-rear,but no 13B.I got older had 2 kids and got married.Then last week i was rearended and my lifted 4x4 Chevy was totaled out.My long friend of many years is into RX7s and has about 9 of them.He also is a member of this site and sold me a 1979 RX7.He found me a intake and 4 barrel,header and a set of "baby supers" rapped in new 215-50-13s.If post is to long sorry,just want to tell my story.

 

Vince, welcome aboard and thanks for the great, informative intro! I didn't think it was that long and it answered every question I normally ask when some new member's intro is too brief for my satisfaction. Definitely glad to have you joining, it's always good when another 1stgen person joins the RX-7 Club ! I'm partial to them myself.

FB's are great. I found one for 100. It had a new motor. I was going to pull it for my courier rotary swap. I decided not to since the car and motor is too nice to be be parted. I'll wait another year so that the car is off the dmv system then register it and drive it. My 93 FD is on blocks. I am replacing the radiator and my courier with a rotary swap is smoking and needs to be sorted out.

 

When i had my RX7s back then,yes they were a blast to drive.My GSLE Clone was the best with that posi rear!

 

Well i just sent my payment out Sat afternoon.If all goes well i will receive my 79 by the end of the week.My buddy who im buying the car ran into a small snag.He was putting a intake and sidedraft carb set up and found out it would not fit.So the search is on.

yes those cars are great.I first got into them when i lived in N.JOver the bridge was Philly and alot of the Spanish had them and all you heard was that load BRAP<BRAP<BRAP,I fell in love.Please dont take offense of what i said about the Spanish.These cars are for everyone.
