A friend of mine is giving me his late father's 1979, silver rx7. It has been in a you store it place for a decade. He had been starting it every time he visited relatives, once a year. It hasn't been started for two years as the storage is so small you have to crawl in the hatch to get in it.
I have not seen it yet, it's about 5 hours away. I have a truck and trailer to bring it home around Christmas, when he is going down there.
I have a ton of questions, but I have learned a lot going through the forums.
One pressing question is that we will have to drag it out of the storage shed, with flat tires (seriously, you cannot fit on either side of the car). I have an electric wench, on the rear end, where is a good place to put the hook on?

It has a tow hook under the rear bumper on the drivers side, also a metal tab on the bottom of the right rear quarter panel halfway btw the rear tire and rear of the car. You can attach a shackle or hook thru either one to pull it out.

The 1st gen section has several threads referencing things to do and look for before trying to start it up for the first time as well as good advice to avoid trouble and additional problems from the prolonged storage. Post up some pics of the car and its condition, you will get more interest and advice. Congrats!
