S1 owner from Montreal

Hi Everyone!
My name is Nick.
I'm from Montreal. Canada and purchased my first RX7 (S1) last year. They are extremely rare here as the harsh winters have rusted away most every 1st gen rx7. When I found a single owner S1 that had never been winter driven I jumped on it.

For awhile I've been looking to start a new build and have been torn between putting an rb26 in an old datsun z, or running a 13b-rew in an fb. Finally settled on the rotary build as I love the fb platform and the power to weight of such a swap is just spectacular.

The project is coming along well. The engine is in the car and I'm working on the Megasquirt installation.

I have not posted to many pics but you can check it out here:

The last time I was in Montreal I got passed by a guy with a car so beat up it looked like the guy sitting in a car seat holding a door and a steering wheel...doing at least 140!
Funny as hell, but God!, you guys like to drive down there!
Welcome to the Forum Nick.Have fun!

Yeah that's right. Montreal has some unbelievable drivers and driver etiquette is very poor here. Seeing someone signal a lane change is a pretty rare occurrence!

Meanwhile you tend to hear everyone in Quebec criticizing drivers of cars with Ontario plates, saying they drive too slow mostly. I think we are just caught off guard when a driver is actually respecting the speed limit.

Cool to see you are in Smith Falls. Hopefully I make it out to some Ontario meets next year when my car is finished.
