RX7 FD to Dominican Touring Series (DTS)

Hi guys, I read all the good information on your forum.
Thanks for all the help so far.
We are putting all parts together to race my 1995 mazda rx7 into DTS class in Dominican Republic circuit race.
This class is dominated now by some BTCC and WTCC BMW, HONDA INTEGRA, SEAT LEON and SCCA MAZDA 6 from Tindol and tri-point.
The class is limited to 2,600cc Natural Aspirated engine and max 17x9 wheels with proxes r888 225/40 & minimun weight of an FD is 2,400lbs
The idea is to make a 280hp NA reliable 13b engine with the tb limit of 64mm, excellent suspension and apply all the benefits from RX7 techonology.

Do you think is possible to put an RX7 street car to compite with those super well factory prepared circuit cars ?

possible.

depends on budget and, more importantly, the driver.

Many thanks.. we look forward to complete the goal.
We have one sponsor that gives us 15k and with the car on track there will be more to come for sure.
My experience as circuit driver needs to improve but I've been driving 500-600hp imports last 10 years.
I love the Howard Coleman fd chasis set up thread from start to end.
