SC Rx-7 owner in SC

Hey I'm Jon Leverett. I own a 88' Rx-7. Its my daily driver and has been for almost 6 years now. I've done a lot of work on and to it with the help of my brother/ dad. Its a car I could never part with. Glad to be apart of the forum finally.

Well its on it's 4th transmission. The 1st one went bad because I learned to drive on it and ignored the fact that 1st and reverse weren't synchronized. And the other two always had a whine to them, one threw a bearing, the other, the shaft broke. This one is hopefully a winner. Its quiet to begin with which is an improvement. I put in a new driveshaft, the other cracked at the mount I believe around 170,000 miles. I had new BMW silver paint put on 6 years ago when I got it from my bro. New leather turbo II seats in the navy blue leather. Had a relatively new rebuilt engine which has about 60,000 on it now I would guess. The car has 200,000 total. New Mille Miglia wheels, hankook tires. New brakes in March. Haven't added a lot to it, just done a lot to keep it going and looking good.
