Hey my name's Nate and just moved out here to Austin about six months ago. I sold my toys before I moved from Michigan, and driving a Bonneville around every day has gotten very dull. I've spent a lot of time researching what my next toy would be. While I'd always been fascinated by rx7s, the FD and rx8 are out of my price range, and was never able to find an FC in my price range that I would have enough confidence in to drive on a daily basis. I essentially ruled them out until I started working at a Mazda dealership. The benefits of having Mazda master techs around to help was too much to resist.

The only mazdas in my price range that meet my requirements (basically aftermarket support, and RWD) were the miata and rx7. The miata is a lot of fun to drive and has some potential, but with aspirations of road racing in my head, a turbocharged rotary seemed to suit my needs better.

Well last week I came across an 87 Turbo II with a rebuilt drivetrain and several quality bolt ons. Clean interior (not that it matters, it will all be replaced or cleaned up anyways) and rust free exterior. The car is solid, starts right up, runs and drives great, and I got an amazing deal. I put a deposit on it yesterday and will be picking up hopefully wednesday 3/24.
