Rotary Noob in England
Hey all! My name is Chris, I am originally from the central coast of California, and am currently active duty USAF living in England. My current collection sadly does not include an RX-7, but it will soon! Back home with family I have a 1970 Chevy C/20 Longbed and a 1991 Camaro RS. Selling the Camaro to my sister though, gonna miss the ol' girl! Here with me, I have my beloved 2008 Chevy HHR SS I brought over with me (I'll throw a couple pics in below, since I don't have an RX-7 yet, I can at least show off my rather uncommon toy), and the wife drives that mostly, while I bang around in a 1990 VW Golf GTI that is destined for a VR6 swap. To do that, I gotta get my beater fixed back up, a 1992 VW Passat 1.6TD.
That brings me to now. I have gotten everything for my VR6 swap for cheap, so I am gonna finish it, and sell the Golf on for a profit. I am also slated to deploy this year, so between that and the Golf, I will be on the hunt for an FC convertible. I've always had a thing for 80's styling, and finding an FC means it will be guaranteed to be old enough to return with me to the states when I finish my time over here.
Anyways, that's a little about me, my cars, and my plans! I've already been nosing around here for a few weeks, and am loving what I'm seeing. The rotary community seems to be very strong, and I've been learning a LOT about the platforms and engines, I'm very excited to get one and get back in a RWD!
Now for the pics, they're a little old, from the day I picked up my HHR when it got to England, but they're a pretty fair representation of how she looks today.
