Whats up everybody? I'm new and just registered on this site today actually...found that it is very resourceful as alot of other forums out there today. Ok I've been into Rx-7s for a looooonng time but never purchased one because truthfully, I was afraid of working on an engine I know nothing about. I've had a 93 civic hatchback with a B20/vtec swap, a 97 Acura Integra, and two 300zxs, one N/A and one twin turbo that I just sold. I've been a tech for 3 years/ 2 years at Nissan and some other small shop and now 1 year at BMW. So im pretty mechanically inclined but still been afraid to even think about purchasing one. But being on this site and reading and reading about these cars, its not as difficult as I thought it would be. So Im putting that fear aside and am thinking about purchasing one. All replys on what I should look at on buying one before I do are welcome...

 

Its really not that bad. Just buy one and get it over with. You'll thank me later.

 

yeah I figured I just do that...anything I should look out for on higher mileage ones?

 

Best bet is to check FAQ thread for whatever generation car you are looking at. Different problems/issues with different generations.
