CA Rotary-less, but Here as an Enthusiast

Hello, Spinning Triangle Brotherhood!

My name is Jason Grove, a Rad Tech out of Woodland Hills, CA and I am a huge fan of RX-7s. Though I currently do not own any rotary powered vehicles, I have worked on one particular FC3S S5 that belongs to Premiumriceonly. I was their on day one when he picked it up in Temple City!

I've mostly experience with Nissan D21 Hardbody truck, and the BA4 Honda Preludes. I love flip-up headlights, so FC3S' are on my team. I currently own a Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GS, the most non-manly car I could get...for free. Though my previous vehicles are definitely NOT 7s, I don't want any one thinking I'm a no nothin' ****.

My fanaticism began with the Mazda Rotary PickUp, or REPU as it's called these days. Totally bitchen looking with fender flares and dual twin low-slung tail lights. As a fan of Mini-trucks, the idea that a truck that was ACTUALLY sporty got my grits. Alas, never be in one that ran.

Next touch, a Red FD3S driven by some cowboy in my home town of Ridgecrest, CA. I was hot, completely turned on by that car. I lusted for an FD since, parked next to the Lamborghini Diablo in my mental dream garage. Last time I saw that car, it was siting at a service garage.....where it sat for years. Man-o-man, would I like to grab it up before the Mojave eats it.

The only thing that could make that FD better for me would be to make it a Midnight Purple Mazdaspeed RX-7 A-Spec, which I first saw.....never in real life. Gran Turismo II, as I'm sure a lot of us first had. I WANT IT. I had a Tamiya Model Kit of it. So boss, like a Le Mans racer for the street.

Back to real life, Premiumriceonly's FC3S is my real experience. lots of hours wrenching, cleaning and lately watching from afar how it has turned from rice-a-roni to too-legit. I hope to be able to contribute his PirateFC in the future, and maybe, get my own dang Rotary engine-powered car some time.

Thanks for having me! I hope to learn a lot more here and support the cause.
