Hello!
Fulfilled a dream of mine early January in buying a 2002 Mazda RX7 FD. I have always been intrigued about cars with the rotary engine and the FD in my eyes was always the dream choice.
I had never driven an RX7 and my first drive was on the way home after purchasing this one!
I'm extremely happy with my choice and hope to own it for a very long time alongside others in my collection.
So, the RX7. Imported into the UK in 2016 at request by Mazda UK who wanted a clean low mileage example, Mazda UK then used this car in the majority of RX / Rotary related content online for the last 4 years and was part of their Heritage collection. Since arriving in the UK it has been maintained thoroughly by Jota who are local in Kent.
I'd be surprised if any of you haven't seen photos of it anywhere, as everywhere I look there is photos of it!
The reason Mazda let the car go from their heritage collection is due to removing all imported cars from the collection! (I also thought this was a bit odd!)
So the car was put up for sale through Stone Cold Classics in Kent, who typically sell ultra low mileage classic cars, Mazda UK asked Wayne if he could list the car for sale on their behalf.
I saw the car online and fell in love, I wasn't looking for an RX7, I have just always liked them. Next thing I know, 7 days later I've purchased it!
Its a 2002 52 Mazda RX7 FD3S presented in Innocent Blue Mica.
Few modifications to note: Weddsport SA-70 Wheels, Mazdaspeed Seats with RX7 Mounts, Autoexe Exhaust, Autoexe Coilover Suspension, Autoexe Intake, Mazdaspeed Gearstick (Really really want the matching handbrake). A few little things will be changed going forward, very minor things that will improve the experience for me as the driver.
All in all very happy and looking forward to putting some miles on it this summer!
