WV Ready for a new obsession....

My name is Jared. I don't know much about RX7s- just that I really like them, and I'm beginning the motions to aquire one. I think I want a touring model, red, manual. I am giving up motorcycling, and plan to sell or trade my bike for a third gen RX. So, any suggestions, tips, hints, etc for a true rookie are greatly appreciated. And, obviously if anyone is interested in a 2006 Ducati 749s w/ primo goodies, I'm the guy. Thanks!

Best advice: RUN! no j/k Just know your car, be smart, and understand all the high maintenance that comes along with any Rotory motored car. They are VERY rewarding, just take a lot of patience and love.

Well... I've found nothing in my price range yet. At this point, I think my best bet is to get a true project car and do it just like I like. It seems auto transmission cars go a good cheaper. I may get an auto and convert it to manual. The search continues...

Welcome. I'm not sure if I could give up riding for a car. But if I had to an fd seems to be a good substitute. I

Update: RX unicorn finally captured! Please welcome my 1993 touring! I'm thinking Topanga will be her name. She needs lots of love, so I'm anxiously seeking a second, part time gig to treat her how she deserves. Currently leaking cooland....BADLY. Rebuild?

Feast your eyes! Faded paint, junk exhaust, massive coolant leak.... Still a beaut in my eyes. Mostly stock. Greddy strut braces, Tokico adjustables, and silicone lines already fitted. I'm counting on an engine rebuild, a respray, different wheels, and some interior updates. Not sure whether to keep the stock parts I don't use, or sell them. I could go on and on. I've wanted one for years, and I'm so excited to finally own such an amazing pain in the butt!
