Been fond of Rotary cars since early 80’s .
After a good friend of mine took me for a ride in his Bridge ported R100. Months later I was the owner of 1974 Rx4. Since then I have owned at least 1 of each of all the R100, Rx2, Rx3, Rx4 , as well as a blown 80 in. Pro street Repu
I broke my baby out of moth ***** finally and plan on finishing it come hell or high water. It’s a 1970 R100 proper street car. Got some work to do.
Awesome "street car". What are your plans for it? I would assume that you have some pretty decent power goals with those tires.
The tires I will be running are Hoosier 29.5-11.5-15. They look a lot better under it.
It will be turbo for sure.
First plan was a drag car. But I think i will have more fun with a street version.
welcome aboard. i too have been in rotaries since the early 80s. had both a 73 rx3 and 74 rx4 at different times in life. latest was a 75 808 that i converted to rotary. that was so easy. had it up and running/driving within a day. i think we all would love to see a build thread on this. i'd love to get back into a 3 or 4 but at todays prices i'll probably never have another one. currently running the 13b from that rx4 in my fb.
I have done alol the work on it with the exception of the cage and the 9 in ford rear.
wheel wells are stretched 9 inches I installed frame connectors to join front to rear. And then with the back half and the cage it should be pretty solid.
The dash console is stretched 4.5 inches, and the seats are moved back to the point of when sitting in the car I actually look out the 1/4 glass. This was needed as I am 6’4” tall.
Not sure if I’m going to run stock glass or lexan.
Still lots to do
