Hi, I'm Darrel Placide and I just bought a 1985 RX7. I'm in Kelowna, BC, Canada and the rotary crowd is a bit small in my neck of the woods.
The car has 160xxxkm and the body is in pretty good shape for it's age. Problem is, the carb was "simplified" by a previous owner i.e. rat's nest removed and it won't start right now.
I searched for and downloaded all the resource material I could find about this model and want to start stripping down the carb this week. Its an ambitious project since I'm not particularly mechanically inclined but I'm a fast learner and have the support and guidance of a couple great mechanics (piston) in my area and a friend in the US who has an 83 in awesome condition that he services himself.
With the help of other forum members I want to turn my dream into reality and be able to display the car in the Peachland Auto Show in 2015.
My progress, trials and tribulations will be documented in detail and posted here so that others may advise, provide suggestions and hopefully get inspired also.
