Proud new FB owner from Toronto
My name is Kam and I recently bought myself a black, 1980 5 speed FB.
The previous owner kept the car meticulously and it's essentially rust free and in great condition with records that date right back to within a few months of the original date of sale.
It already has a RB header and supposedly is street ported, (I can't actually tell )
I'm totally new to the rotary scene, but not new to the car scene. My other car is a 1993 Saturn SL1 that started itself out as an 85hp, sohc, auto and has come to be a dohc, ported, mild compression bumped (10.3:1), poly bushing-ed 5 speed piece of tupperware.
The FB is currently sitting in my grandmothers garage; it's immediate plans are to reseal it's oil pan, replace the header to head (it isn't called a head anymore I suppose) gasket and to fix the spongy brakes.
Eventually I would like to throw on some energy suspension bushings, buy stainless braided brake lines, springs of some sort and someday rims... although this 4 x 110 business is really limiting my choices.
I will likely do more lurking than anything as I am familiar with "forum etiquette" from my days on SixthSphere.com.
Cheers!
Kam
