Potential first time RX7 owner
Greetings everyone.
Names Joseph and I've joined recently, but have been reading these forums for about a month now. I finally found a good representation of an RX7 locally. I plan to pick up a nice 87 RX7 SE with approx 75k miles on it. The interior and exterior look very good, and for the price the guy is offering it at is a really good deal. Just have to go take a look at it, and hopefully take her home with me.
I've known about rotary's for sometime now and was always intrigued by the power such a tiny and odd design can create. I have been wanting to get a proper sports car for sometime now, and was looking at MX-5's. My friend mentioned "why not an RX7?" and I think it will be the right choice.
Look forward to learning alot more from this forum and hopefully having a blast with a new ride soon.

It's amazing the followings the Mazda sports cars have! I was simply amazed at how friendly everyone was on MX-5 forums and here.
I got a meeting set up with the guy on saturday. Hoping it's in as good shape as the guy says, and get to drive it for a few days before storing it.

Seems fate has conspired against me.
My uncles truck had the rear end grenade a bearing. He asked me to borrow some cash to cover repairs, and that severely dipped into my "fun car fund" Can't say no to helping a family member get their work truck back on the road.
Hopefully around tax time I'll be able to find nice RX7 FC around. I'll still be around and might start working on building a MegaSquirt board following Aaron Cakes write up.

Welcome to the club, the rotaries do have an amazing following and I have to say that my Wankel does get a huge amount of interest from other Classic Car enthusiasts at the various meets that I intend. They do take some looking after, mind!!
