Smile Possibly new owner of a FC :)

Hi! My name is Mike and I am from Canada.

like mentionned in the title, I might become an owner of an 87 FC. The poor is sitting in a garage for at least half a year because the car might have a starter problem or so. (all seems to work correctly, but there isn't any crank coming up from the engine). I've only saw the car once, It had some minor bubbles on the sunroof and a bit around the rockers, but hopefully the rest is in good condition. It has some bits broken in the interior trim, but no biggy. It is equiped with bucket seats, racing steering wheel, fuel cutoff switch and a alpine radio with the wrong DIN fitting but I won't be taking the car with most of those add ons, I prefer to keep the stock seats for now and for the steering wheel, i'll have to find one I guess and i'll have a set of the stock wheels. The vehicle was originaly silver but was painted subaru white (which came out matte) by the current owner I believe.

Engine wise, as I have mentionned, it doesn't start. It's turbocharged and has a aftermarket intake, a 3inch exhaust line and single axleback aaand the wiring is sticking out here and there. Hopefuly, I won't need to do much to make it work again if I get it in my possession. Most of the things I'll do first is to put back the engine in a running state, probably change some things (I would love to get RB exhaust line for it)

I don't have much of a car history, my current ride is a 2003 Mazda Protege5 equiped with a RB axleback, ProtegeMP3 Rims, TeinS Tech springs mounted on tokiko illmumina shocks. I have yet to install a set of JDM tails, US roof rack, RB exhaust line. Fell in love with the Rx7 FC and its rotary engine since I've watched InitialD XD

I hope to find all my info here and looking foward to be part of this community ^^

hopefully the fc do not need much. however, I would look into it a bit better before buying it and be prepared for something else.
anyway, good luck!!!

Don't spend too awful much on a car that won't start! If it turns out to just be the starter then it sounds like you're getting a pretty solid RX7, good luck with your endeavors.

I am getting the car inspected (compression test as well) to a rx7 specialized shop in Calgary. I'm better off there than the Mazda dealer I guess xD And, I want to work on it. So if the engine and the frame is good, ill most probably get it for a decent price and work on it as a hobby. I love those cars and don't want them to go to waste. but for sure ill make all the check ups necessary to know what I will be doing on it.

I am not in a rush to put it on its wheels, I just want it nice and clean and have fun with it ^^

Thanks for the good luck wishes!

All righty, little update, didn't get any news from the guy so It's a bust, but there'S an ad about an original TII, completely bone stock, even the paint looks almost new. The only fault is the sunroof and the brakes, which he was going to bring to RX7 specialties by the end of the month. Hopefully, this one will be a good one ^^ I am going to check the car out this sunday
