Please welcome me (I'm new here!)
Name's John, I just bought a couple of s5 verts with blown engines. One's an auto, boo, and the other a manual, ya! The auto just had some bad oil and water seals. A pretty easy rebuild. Its up and running with a mild street-port and hits redline with no problems at all. The manual is more complicated. While the guy I got it from did take care of it very well, he picked a lousy mechanic to do his motor rebuild. It blow at 10k with no oil pressure and the rear rotor spinning the bearing and sending metal through the engine. I had to gather a lot of parts for this one and I'm almost ready to put it together. Just a couple of question on this board to help me verify a few things and I'll put it together.
The s5 auto vert has actually been a blast to drive. Not fast off the line but killer once you're rolling. Great for driving on mountain roads with the top down...
Hope to post some threads soon!
Best Regards,
John

Hey welcome to the club! nice cars. My girlfriend and I jut got our first vert (89 5spd) about 2 weeks ago. We recently posted on this section so you can check out our pics. I have owned a few other rx7's and the vert is definitely my favorite so far. Im sure you will be able to find anything related to the car on this website, just search it up.
