Owner Introduction

Hello everyone,

I live in Maryland, and am the owner of a stock 1993 Black Touring RX-7 which I bought new. I do not drive it much anymore, but just cannot bring myself to sell it, so it stays in the garage and is driven about once per month. It runs great, but has a few minor issues, and I would like to correct them and get the interior spiffed up and new paint, and get it back on the road on a regular basis.

Some of the issues, that I want to correct, are: Worn bushings in the left rear suspension; A/C system will not hold refrigerant; the tachometer does not work; the liquid crystal displays are unreadable; the audio system needs work and only one or two speakers work; the passenger window is slow opening, ok closing; the front windshield has two rock nicks.

I have one other minor item that needs attention now, and I will post in the technical section for help locating the part or a work around.

As I tackle these problems, I hope I can ask the membership for help.
Looking forward to the experience.

Regards,
John

It all sounds easily doable. So do a little here and a little there, but you're intuition is correct, you should never sell that car!

Thanks for the encouragement. I have owned several sports cars over the years, (Jaguar XK-140, '68 Vette, '87 RX-7) and none, in my opinion handled like my '93. It is so much fun!

I am in Eden, MD, which is just outside of Salisbury on the Eastern Shore.

Thanks,

As a kid I had a neighbor who rebuilt a lot of old British cars. I spent a lot of time sanding etc, catching the bug.
And I spend weekends when I can south of you in Northampton County, the south end of the shore. Maybe sh00bs and I can meet in the middle at your place and we can compare cars.
