Great plan! A great car deserves a great motor!

 

It is a great little car. I started drag racing an RX-2 in the late 80's then went to road racing. I raced VW Sciroccos and GTIs, then Honda Civics and CRXs until I sat on a Miata. After that I've been in love with them. My car is an 1997 M edition with a JR Supercharger. This is the one that I will installed the 12A for road racing. This afternoon I disassembled the engine and found the housings in bad shape. Not good. I will need to find them to continue my project.

 

Interesting. Housings are around, you'll find them. Stock or ported motor?

 

big fan of miatas here too. My buddies dad had one for the longest time and he did a swap i cant remember what he did but it was fast He would AUTO-X it

 

We will need them stock so my friend can do his magic.
