Hi All! Thank you for having me! It's great to be back! My name is Betty as well as my 1985 1st gen. 3 series "7" She was something special back in her day! Well right now she's retired and part timing as a driveway paperweight. It's been just over 2 years since I was an active member! We had big hopes! 85% done with all the redo work one must do when "7" sits for any amount of time. I has a stalling problem well I still needed to rebuilt the carb. Opening the carb rebuild kit! OMG Seriously? And Not having the right tools, Tried to buy a rebuilt one, not happening! we could almost see the "finished line" 'Till the Ex~ took the org. carb and my Chilton book w/him when he moved to @#$ Anyway I did get the carb. back But not the book! (But I got all his tools! He didn't need them I'm the one with skills!) Anyway I Moved in w/my best friend shortly after and its been sitting in our driveway since!
Here's the thing my Ex never put the gas tank that I had machined out. 100% locked up and in it's place! So... My stalling problem: NOT the carb BUT gas tank And EX Dumb Dumb. My Best friend had it put in place maybe a year ago but never spelled it out for me~ Gas tank probably the breach in which I stalled! So ideally she with new battery and gas should fire up! Well now it's been two years and she needs all the "redo" work redone! OMG! And she probably will need the carb. rebuilt! Not to mention suspension, dash rot and a few little things! I took such good care of My Aunt's Pride n joy of the 80's off the showroom floor for $22,500.00 And now shes worth well not much!
