Now retired, getting active, Indianapolis IN
I bought a new RX4 around 1975, and a new RX7 in 1982. I drove the RX7 on long vacations to the coasts and many trips back to Oklahoma. Work required a mini-van, so I'm ashamed to say I let the 1982 just sit. About ten years ago I bought a 1985, and being a repeat offender, when I couldn't maintain it, did the same thing.
Now that I'm retired I'm going to see how far I can get to restoring either or both. I love the design and always enjoyed driving them. I know how far I get on these will depend on whether I can develop friends with the same hobby.
My father was a very skilled mechanic who owned and operated his own automotive repair shop. When he retired one of his hobbies was restoring 1967 era Mustangs. He taught me a bit. We agreed I am a better chemist than mechanic, but if I take study what I'm going to do and take my time, I'm not terrible.
